On Friday, June 12, 2020, the 15th ICZ Group Golf Meeting took place. The event has traditionally taken place at the Golf Hostivař grounds, where the construction of further 9 new holes is currently underway. The tournament scored according to the STABLEFORD system was played on 12-hole course for the first time.
After a few rainy days, the weather was very good for us, the sun drove the temperatures into the tropical thirties. The tournament was attended by golfers from both the ICZ Group management and, above all, our important customers. As part of the tournament, there were two additional competitions – “Longest Drive” and “Nearest to Pin”.
Hole No. 9 – “The Last Bath”, which was designated as a charity hole at the beginning of the tournament, also played a valuable role. Each time a player scored par (3 shots), ICZ Group contributed CZK 20,000 to the account of the ICZ Endowment Fund. During Friday morning, 8 players succeeded and a total of CZK 160,000 was sent to the ICZ Endowment Fund.
Thanks are due to the staff of Golf Hostivař for arranging the tournament, where we were again able to meet after a long pause caused by the coronavirus pandemic and, of course, to all participants. Next ICZ golf meeting is scheduled for June 2021.
